I was born in Fairbanks, Alaska.
Most of my life was spent in “urban” Alaska. But my family is Athabascan and we are from Minto, Alaska.
So Minto is really where I am from and where my heart often is!
After 23 crazy years there I decided to throw a dart at a map and move to where ever it landed. Luckily it landed in a spot near family so my transition from Alaska to Washington for the past two years has been somewhat smooth.
I attend South Puget Sound Community college as well as serve in student government as the Senator for Diversity and Equity Affairs.
Although passionate all my life about the social injustices minorities and underrepresented groups face, I have recently found a way to get my message out there through the medium of writing and posting on this blog.
Basically I see interesting things go on around me and I update whoever wants to read about it here!
Take a look around by clicking on the links above!

seriously? the dart thing?
I ended up here after googling “hippy college” no joke. worst decision EVER.
well one day i’ll tell you the exact details that led up to me getting here. the dart thing is just an easy way to explain why olympia was even on my radar.
you googled hippy college and ended up here?
where you from?
my dad’s in the military and we moved a lot, I don’t have roots anywhere because of family rejection, I never really know how to answer this question. I moved here in 2008 from Pennsylvania, where I lived for a couple years after leaving my parents’ house. I’ve been pretty much every region of the states. If I had to pick I’d say I like the east coast but I can’t really say I’m ‘from’ there
I’ve been here in Washington for 22 years……guess it’s about time I throw a dart at the map as well.
Hi, Amanda. I’m right here with my mom and she said that’s pretty good you still keep in contact. She said little Augie sleeps thru anything. Happy Thanksgiving!
